I do not believe baby needs to go on the bottle. Baby can be fed many
other ways when mom is not there. At 4 months the baby can be given milk
by cup or actual sippy cup a spoon or seringe and eye dropper. The mother
can also delay her return to work when the baby is 6 months so then solids
will be started and it may be more difficult to manage during the day. She
can alco do smaller days 4-5 hours at a time so she is not away too long
from the baby. I am nursing twins that are 12 montsh and they never took a
bottle but I was back doing my hours to write the ibclc exam at 2 months.
They took it in another form by my baby sitter and still do. The know take
a sippy cup really well since they are about 5-6 months and I do not feel
like I have to remove a botle from them. One my twins actually gets all
his milk by spoon and the other one by sippy cup.
I hope this helps.
