Medela and Ameda/Hollister have different rules on how many
"free" rentals a station can make per year based on the number of pumps
they carry. The rental station is not charged "rental" for the grant
pump for the time it is loaned free (usually 1 month), so no one loses
money.
Just a note. Medlea actually credits your pump rental account $20 the month
when you have called them and asked to designate a pump a "grant pump". You
have to call them each month and give them the pump's serial number, and
then they give you the number of the credit memo (or something like that).
It's made the difference between breastfeeding or nor for many or our moms
whose babies have gotten off to a slow start with breastfeeding.
