The Domperidone saga is getting more and more convoluted.

I spoke with 3 local compounding pharmacists and 1 other California
pharmacist today on the phone. All would continue to compound it if I wrote the
prescription and if the powder is available. 2 of the 4 pharmacists have no more
powder available and when they try to order it get the response from the
manufacturer that it is "no longer available".

3 of the 4 gave me the same story: that Janssen is coming out with a 10 mg
tablet in the next 1-2 years (!) and the FDA alert was politically motivated to
cut down their (compounding pharmacy) business, and also to prevent
importation of drugs.

The PCCA (Professional Compounding Center of America) indicated that they are
telling their member compounding pharmacies that it is legal for physicians
to prescribe and for them to supply Domperidone. They fully intend to fight
the FDA on this.
