I think that breastfeeding would be better sold if our societies valued
children, mothers and caregivers and teachers of children more. In the USA,
caregiving is so underpaid and stay-at-home mothers have no safety net for their
elder years at all. Is it any wonder young mothers, themselves raised on
formula and daycare while their mothers placed convenience above good health, find
breastfeeding inconvenient?
