Permission to post. Any thoughts anyone?

Baby aged between 3 & 4 weeks. Difficult to latch from birth with large post birth loss and no gain at all until supplemented (currently 2.5 oz over birth weight). Mom successfully BF six children for over six months plus each (except for one). Mom's breasts are now soft and only drops can be expressed or pumped. Baby will not stay latched. Mom has sore nipples since birth. Nothing unusual noted except short frenulum. Does not extend to end of tongue but is very tight. This baby was seen repeatedly by midwife, family physician and specialist pediatrician.

Can it be that everyone else missed this? Or does anyone else have a thought about an alternate reason.

For the moment I have started mom on SNS at breast, frequent feeds, frequent pumping. I have requested release of tongue-tie and prescription for domperidone (perfectly legal here thank goodness).
