"Instructions on Handling Donor Milk in the Home (Form #17) from
Mother's Milk Bank in Denver states "**NEVER HEAT HUMAN MILK WARMER
THAN SKIN TEMPERATURE.**" (emphasis theirs)."
So Gramma's method of checking temp is still good today: drip a few drops on the inside of your wrist.
If it feels hot or cold, it's not the right temp. If you just feel liquid and no sensation of temperature,
it's just right to feed to baby.
A warm, not HOT, water bath is still the best way to warm a bottle. But it's not necessary to warm a bottle. Babies can drink cool or cold milk. It's okay.
