There are no studies indicating that silicone in the breast is harmful
to breastfeeding infants. The one study that purported to show that was
found to be inaccurate, since the investigators were studying siblings
with genetic esophageal dysmotility problems, and when they did wider
research, mom's implants were shown to be coincidental.
Encourage this mom to see how things go, and help her know how to assess
baby's milk intake by the diaper output.
