Nikki Lee asked: How many cc's is a 'tiny spoonful'?
I use the tiny plastic teaspoons that you get when you get sample tastes
of ice cream. I suggest that moms squeeze a puddle of colostrum in the
middle of the spoon, which is about 1 cc. If they really do it every 2
hours during the day, the babies do not lose excessive weight. It would
be great to do a study to see if spoon feeding makes a difference in the
duration of breastfeeding.
