Yesterday afternoon, a group of friends was chatting and the subject of
breastfeeding came up. The youngest of all of our kids is about 14, so
we were reflecting fondly on a past part of our lives. One woman told a
great story I thought you'd enjoy. When her now 14 or 15 year old was
about 18 months, she was playing with (or near) a friend who had a
bottle on the floor. My friend's daughter picked it up, looked at it
curiously, held it up to her ear and said, "hello?"
The other parents in the room couldn't understand how an 18 month old
child did not know what a bottle was.
Sometimes, we educate others in unexpected ways at the most unexpected
times.
