Lucky the mother and baby that can find a position in which the baby can
suck/swallow and breath at the breast safely with tracheomalacia. I have
worked with a mother that has pumped for over a year for her baby with
tracheomalacia, using an purely yours pump, she was not able to find a
position that the baby could suck/swallow and breath at the breast, but
this baby has never had any formula, and is developing normally. As much
as it would of been much easier to have a baby breastfeed, we need to
celebrate and support the mothers that are unable too.
