Hi Pat,
I too am a long time allergy sufferer, and very similar to you client. When
I was pregnant with both my children I was permitted to take my allergy
shots. The first was a very weak solution. With my second I had a much
stronger and graduated series of shots. I am still on them 20 plus years
later. When I was not on them I had lots of problems and lots of other
medications. The shots were deemed safer and not harmful to nursing infant.
My son is now 20 years old and has no allergies and no side effects. Of
course that may be from the breastfeeding too. :-)
I have not documented research only anecdotal, but I do know that my
allergist researched it before he would let me take them.
Hope this helps
