One of my best friends breastfeed her son with nipple piercings. She removed
the rings prior to delivery. They grew mostly in too much to replace
jewerly..and the milk *did* flow from the piercing holes faster then other parts of the
nipple. Her baby learned to adjust to it, and when he was really hungry made
a bee line to latch around the piercing holes. It never seemed to cause a big
problem. This mother had formula fed her first baby, and with support from
family and friends (like me!) decided to "try" breastfeeding and went on to
nurse about 8 months.
She found the way the milk came out of the piercing ducts and the baby's
adjustments around it to be amusing.
I do remember her complaining about lots of leaking, but not that it was more
copious from the piercing holes. She managed it.
