Kathy,
If the mom hasn't been on glucophage since birth and baby's kidney and
health status has been cleared, she might consider going back onto the
glucophage. First of all, regardless of lactation issues, it helped her
infertility and would likely continue to help her PCOS symptoms.
Secondly, if lactation *is* impaired beyond management issues, it has a
definite possibility of helping supply also, as has been seen in several
other cases. Definitely worth trying, IMHO. Have you had or will you
have the chance to quantify the actual supply deficit? Will the strategy
be mainly to work on increasing stimulation and emptying, or will
galactogogues also be employed?

I would love to hear how this case progresses-- where supply is at, what
measures are tried to bring it up, results. As you say, we learn with
every case!
