Janice, caught part of this, I think enough to
comment. Doc raises issue, "What if she has a seizure
while nursing?"
My thoughts:
The real issue for doc was "What if she has a seizure
while holding the baby?" After all, babies are held
(hopefully!), bf or not.
On the up side, it's nice to hear the word "nursing"
as a normal part of what happens when moms & babies
are together.
I'd like to think this show gave good pr for bf. My
daughter thought it was positive, jumped up & said
"did you hear that!" The more often bf is mentioned,
the more normal it sounds -- and the less bf advocates
will hold their breath waiting for the other shoe to
drop.
