A large increase supply, especially if mom is switching sides before baby
had gotten to the hindmilk will certainly lead to the
oversupply/foremilk/hindmilk imbalance which has some of the symtoms you
describe (loose explosive stools, vomiting, green stools ect.)
What was the reason for the nipple sheild (it was a sheild and not a bottle
nipple, I am assuming!) Was there an difficult latching problem? I didn't
see the info on that in your report.
Maybe try doing some pre and post feed weighs and adjusting the Dom that
way, or even wean the mother off of it, if her supply seems to be doing
well at this time. Could this have been more a breastfeeding managment
issuse than a real supply issue, and the Dom cause an ovesupply? How was
this baby's latch and ability to transfer before you started treatment? How
is it now in comparision? That is what I would be looking at.
Good luck.
