My hospital, like many others, is soon to begin doing car seat challenges.
I believe they are talking about 1 hour, but some hospitals do it for up to
2 hours. If the preemie graduate doesn't pass, i.e. no desats, etc, he
doesn't go home. This is essential when car seats are required by law and
some babies ride several hours from our hospital to their homes in remote
parts of my state.
