There is a very nice article by Dr Gartner in "Clinics in Perinatology"-
June 1999 that cites the laxative effect of breastmilk.  You could copy that
and give it to said MD.  Hopefully they will read it.  Unfortunately the AAP
statement about jaundice has a sentence that basically sayd there are
several acceptable "choices" for supplementing, including bottles of
formula, so that is not useful.
