Hi,
I just wanted to let you know that the Australian Breastfeeding Association,
along with other like-minded organisations will be hosting "Breastfest"
around Australia on Friday August 6th. If you go to
www.breastfeeding.asn.au and follow the links you will be able to see the
details. We will be attempting to break the world record for the number of
mothers breastfeeding in the one place, and set a new record for mothers
breastfeeding around Australia. But, of course, we want to draw attention
to world breastfeeding week, and that breastmilk is the gold standard in
infant feeding.
I've been one of the phone contacts for my area, and the support has been
fabulous. We probably should have made it "number of children"
breastfeeding, rather than the numbers of mothers. I've had mums of twins
and mums feeding 2 or 3 children ringing me, keen to attend.
Warm Regards,
Barb Glare
mum of Zac, 11, Dan, 9, Cassie 6 and Guan 1
