I have a question for the anthropologists (professional or armchair)
among you. I am looking for information about traditions of
grandmothers nursing their grandchildren for ritual/ceremonial purposes
or for child care/nutritional purposes or anything else. For the
moment I am particularly interested in these customs in the middle
east, but if you know of them anywhere, I'd like to learn more.
References, etc. most appreciated.
