At least breastfeeding is mentioned in the ways to prevent SIDS
Virus suspected in two SIDS cases
Recently discovered virus identified for first time in U.S.

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- A virus recently discovered in Japan is suspected in
two "crib deaths" in Wisconsin, raising new questions about how many of
these mysterious tragedies might be caused by germs.
WHAT PARENTS CAN DO
Federal health officials offer these tips for preventing sudden infant
death syndrome, or SIDS:
Don't smoke around a baby.
Put babies to sleep on their back, not their stomach.
Avoid fluffy blankets, coverings, pillows and stuffed animals in the
crib. Put babies on a firm mattress and avoid waterbeds.
Don't overdress or bundle babies, or keep their rooms too warm. The
temperature should feel comfortable to an adult.
Breast-feed babies; it can boost immunity and prevent infections.
Get babies regular checkups and immunizations, and seek medical help if
a baby is sick or having difficulty breathing.
For mothers, get good prenatal care to prevent developmental
abnormalities that can raise a baby's risk for SIDS.
There is no evidence that electronic home monitors prevent SIDS.
