Dear all,
I recently asked about bloody milk. Mom pumped what looked like pure blood in
the direct pp days. She and her midwife were very glad to hear it has a name
and is not abnormal, nor scary.
Lab tests on the stuff she pumped showed lots of blood wjth some milkfat in
it.
Mom went on pumping and kept getting what looked like pure blood for 4 days.
She was going down in motivation to keep gong, but then, at day five had 50cc
of pink milk. She then put baby at breast and left hospital exclusively
feeding at breast.
Thanks all of you who responded.
Warmly greeting,
Gonneke van Veldhuizen, IBCLC, LLLL
