There is one blurb that I came across a few years ago to battle with my
own pediatrician about IV fluids and artificial baby weight. My 12lb baby
lost 10% of "birth weight" but I knew she really didn't weigh that much-I
was convinced it HAD to be the fluids being pushed during the final hours of
a difficult labor/delivery that influence this high birth weight. The blurb
is in one of the Lactation Specialist Self-Studies Series books. At the
moment I cannot find which of the Modules it is in, but it's there!
