I agree that it would be helpful to have latch videos whowing a
variety of nipples.  In defense of the various video makers, however
I would like to say this.  If a video is being used to demonstrate
effective latch, you want the audience to be able to see clearly
what is going on.  If the "model" is an "A" cup with flat nipples,
it is hard for the audience to see what is happening even though
baby may be latching just fine.  When a model has large breasts and
erect nipples, it is much easier to point out how effective latching
occurs. One drawback is that if mom only views the viedeo, she may
percieve that if her breasts and nipples look very different from
those of the model(s) in the video that she won't be able to nurse.
Many years ago, a mom complained about all the breasts being large
after a class.  I hadn't paid attention to it before that.  Ever
since, when showing a latching video in class, I mention first that
they will be seeing large breasts because it makes it easier to show
what mom and baby are doing.  You don't have to have breasts like
the ones in the video for breastfeeding to "work".
