Christine suggests: adverstising through the day care centers, maternity
stores, gyms with day care rooms, OB/GYNs, CNMs, Pedi offices / clinics?
We had one OB who was considered by staff to be almost as fanatical about
breastfeeding as I was. He strongly encouraged every patient to breastfeed.
He had the schedule of our classes posted in every exam room and asked every
patient if she had signed up for the BF class yet. In spite of this, I did
not see his name come up in the class rosters any more frequently that of
other docs who did a similar number of deliveries! Perhaps having the
notices in a variety of locations, not just one might help, but I don't have
anything other than a hunch to back that up.
