Sorry, I seem to be getting into the 'abbreviation mode' like everyone else
on this network! BFHI = The Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative, the
UNICEF-WHO program...which includes the 10-steps that encourage successful
BF that must be followed in order for the hospital to receive UNICEF
certification as....ta-ta:
A BABY-FRIENDLY HOSPITAL.

Side note: Here in Mexico, because we are such a 'mother-Virgen Mary'
oriented culture, the Initiative here is called 'The Baby and
Mother-Friendly Hosp. Init.

And I understand that the UNICEF is actually considering changing the name
of this program all over the world to include the 'mother' part. I think
this is a wonderful addition, don't you? After all, how the heck can you be
ONLY baby friendly, right? It IS a dyad.

P.S.  Please tell Karen that I will only usurp her extra bedroom on that
Mon. evening. I'll be staying in a hotel  on Tues.night when I am visiting
my old high school pal. I am more than grateful for her kind hospitality,
sight unseen!
I hope after meeting me at ILCA she doesn't change her mind!  I AM rather
strange and weird and silly....at least that's what I've been told! Ha-ha.
