      I just finished your incredible piece on patriarchy (here in the
latin culture what else IS there? p.= machismo), commercialism (money,
money, money makes the world go around, the world go around, the world go
around - rememberber Cabaret?) and technology (which I am still quite
isolated from as I do consults here.
   Just a thought about the commerialism. We are also selling a service
and/or commodity, but as with all products, the positive or negative
effects of the product's use is what makes getting rich selling cigarettes
VS. selling fresh fruit salads totally different situations. After all, we
want and rightly deserve a fee for our expertise, as does the cigarette co.
for the pack of cancer-sticks...but how does the product affect the user?
   I realize that my comments are already quite obvious, but in
truth...there is nothing wrong in making money. (see above song lyrics)
None of us could go to Scottsdale or do anything else if we didn't rake in
some dough, somehow.
It's just the way that we do it that makes the moral difference.

Thanks for a copy of Jan's powerful financial breakdown. And you can triple
those figures for 3rd world countries, or are these figures already
world-encompassing  numbers?  I would like to know if they are U.S. only or
global stats. Thanks!
