OK all- just got a flyer from M--D offering a live audioconference on DHA
and ARA: Improving Infant Nutrition.
It states its target audience is " mother/baby nurses, labor and delivery
nurses, NICU nurses, lactation consultants, nurse educators and
dietitians". Its purpose is " to educate nurses and dietitians on the role
of DHA ARA in infant cognitive and visual development so they may use this
knowledge to advise parents and address questions about infant feedings".
The learning objectives are" to understand the importance of DHA ARA to
development in infancy and beyond, explain the role of DHA and ARA in
infant cognitive and visual development, understand the data regarding the
relationship of DHA ARA levels to functional outcomes in breastmilk and
infant formula and incorporate practical information about DHA ARA into
patient education practices".

The disclosure notice states that" the conference is funded by Mead, that
they ( Mead) have reviewed the content of the program and believes the
scientific information contained within is substantiated and balanced (
sorry- choked here)> The medical professionals are also being compensated
by Mead for their professional services."

To register you can log on to www.actel.com/ce or call 866-206-9706.......
Marsha, Valerie...got any questions for this live audioconference?
