I have just finished up with a wonderful two day class taught by Marie
Biancuzzo.
I would strongly suggest it for anyone interested in taking the IBCLE exam
as it is an excellent preparation course.
Included was a strenuous mock exam which pointed out to me just where my
weaknesses are (ouch!) Marie went over the material thoroughly and I am
confident that, were I to take the exam this July, I would be well prepared.
Luckily for me, I retested 5 years ago and don't have to now! :)
Seriously, I learned a great deal and, if you read my previous two posts,
you may have noticed that I did not post entire journal articles, just the
url and a brief description. This is because I learned in the class that
our profession is taking an aggressive stance on copyright infringement and
theft of intellectual property, (not sure I stated that correctly).
I don't want to run the risk of losing my IBCLC certification, which CAN
happen!
I also had the pleasure of meeting colleagues from as far away as Hawaii
and California, which was terrific. Not that it wasn't great meeting all
those from nearer as well ;)
