Thanks to Janice for alerting us to the article on the NBAC in the Palm Beach
Post. There are a couple of other ways to obtain the relative risk statements
and references that were eliminated from the campaign. The current newsletter
from the National Alliance for Breastfeeding Advocacy (NABA) contains an
article and timeline of events leading up to the launch of the campaign. I also
included a pullout section that lists the original statements, references, and a
copy of one of the ads that was removed. If anyone is not interested in
subscribing to the newsletter, I would be happy to e-mail just the list of
statements and their references to those of you would like them.
I am also happy to say that I spotted a billboard ad for the NBAC. My brother
and I were taking my 89 year old mother to a casino in West Virginia to play
the slot machines when we spotted the billboard somewhere near Brookfield,
Ohio on Ohio route 62. It's a good thing I wasn't driving! The billboard was very
impressive.
