Hello, Ann.
Is there *any* position (not nursing) that this mother can maintain
somewhat comfortably for a few minutes? Can she lie on her back? Baby could be
laid prone on her chest/abdomen to nurse, if mom puts a pillow or two under
her head/shoulders so she can see a little better what baby is doing. Can she
sit back in a recliner? Getting into the chair is probably uncomfortable, but
then leaning it back might take the pressure off her bottom. Then she could
nurse with baby on her chest.
