I think the difference is the amount of effort needed to do what is needed.
In this case, prostate exam only takes an hour or 2 out of your life to
make and attend the appt. Breastfeeding is a committment of many hours over
weeks, months or years of your life. And you don't get a second chance -
while you can always "reform" and go get a prostate exam.
A more direct analogy would be between getting a prostate exam and a
mammogram, I guess.

(However, I do like the phrase "use 'em or lose 'em" in regards to promoting
breastfeeding to reduce breast cancer risk - I'd love to see that in a
public awareness campaign!)
