What do you think of saying something like;

Congratulations on your upcoming adoption, I'm so happy for you!
I've worked with (or know people who do) adoptive moms who want to
breastfeed their new babies.  Pause, usually people respond with "I didn't
even know you could do that!" If she doesn't respond you can just say, "It
sure surprised me to learn that was possible"
Then,
Sure, if you're interested, let me know and I'll get you some information
on it.

I'd leave it at that and go on to non-threatening (I know, I know) things
like the nursery, etc.
