My (untrained) attempt at logical analysis of the situation echoed your
thoughts-that if movement was a serious issue affecting healing then the
baby must be sedated-therefore no oral feeds. If the baby is in fact not
sedated and movement not restricted then breastfeeding, with good support
must be an option.
