Hi all
I need some help please.
If a mother has had 2 bouts of mastitis, which have been treated with anitbotics. is it possible that the deep breast pain that she is experiencing might be caused by scar tissue rather than thrush? I have checked both nipples after feeding and both look slightly white but resolves very quickly. the pain last for some time after the feed is finished. I have taken swabs, but the results wont be available for a few days.
Could thrush cause a baby to slip to the end of the nipple when feeding? this baby is now 5 weeks old, Does it matter that that this baby slips down rather than maintaining a deep latch, What would you suggest to mother to stop baby from slipping down?
Can anyone recommended a reference book that deals with breastfeeding older babies.
Sincerely
