6 mo old with 0 weight gain last 2 mos
Phyllis,

The baby's most important parameters are increasing; head circ and length,
and he had already doubled his birth wt at four months, ...still, the absolute
zero wt gain in two months may be a bit of a concern, at least for the docs and
mom.

What I have seen most often is that this happens when baby foods are started,
many are lower in calorie count per oz than brmilk, ...so overall calorie
count intake goes down while activity is increasing in the 6mo old.

Moms will think they are providing *supplemental* baby foods when sometimes
they are providing milk *replacement* foods by giving too much baby food. If
mom's milk supply is decreasing that may be another sign that the baby is
getting too much baby or table foods.
