I sent the following post a few days ago but didn't get any replies so I'm sending it again. Do no replies mean that no one has heard this before???

I've got a question for LLLL.
Over the past few years I've heard from several adoptive-mothers-to-be who have been told by LLLL that children who are 12 months or older at placement can't be taught to breastfeed. I heard this from a mum just this week. She went to a LLL meeting, was told this and didn't feel at all supported. I'm wondering if someone at a LLL conference or somewhere else associated with LLL has told leaders this? It just seems strange that the 12 month mark has been come up repeatedly. Can anyone elighten me?
