A few years ago I used to buy raw milk from a dairy farm in 2 liter plastic
jars, taking it home on my bike (child in front seat, child in back seat) for a
30 min's summer-warm trip on "off road" roads. It used to be fresh tasting
for at least 4-5 days after that.
