Has anyone noticed a correlation between moms who are so fastidious about
housekeeping and whether they are successful at breastfeeding? When I make
a home visit, I have often noticed the moms who give up easily have the
cleanest, most beautifully furnished houses. The nurseries are also far
away from their bedrooms. I visited two moms the same day, and predict the
mom who has the messiest house will succeed, the other was ready to give
up before I visited. (I also noticed a copy of Babywise in the nursery -
that's another issue- argggggghh!)
Or am I searching for a reason to excuse my own poor attention to
housekeeping? Just curious if anyone else has noticed this in their
visits.
Warm regards,
Ellen, RN, MS, IBCLC, LCCE
