Hi Judy,
I provide lactation services for a major insurance company through MCH
Services, Inc.
http://www.mchservicesinc.com/
MCH Services ships each mother Amy Spangler's Breastfeeding Book, a Medela
cooler bag, and a Lactina hook-up kit. The program includes 2 breastfeeding
classes that I schedule during lunch hours, follow-up calls after the baby is
born, a consultation to review return to work issues, and continued follow-up
calls after the mother returns to work.
I provide services at two sites. One site has a lactation room with 4 pump
carrels. There is a connecting room with sink facilities. The other site has 2
pump carrels, with a bathroom down the hall. A Lactina pump is available at
each carrel for the mother to use. I try to keep the room friendly and
supportive. There are books and magazines available to the mothers, and a bulletin
board where the moms can post pictures of their children.
I have a few spare parts available in a cabinet in case someone forgets a
piece.
The mothers are very friendly and have formed an informal support system for
each other.
Please let me know if you need more information.
