Has anyone else had the experience of a woman not producing much milk on a
side due to nipple piercing? We've discussed nipple piercing in the past, but I
don't recall much said about involution taking place on a breast due to it.
I've got a mom who presently has dried up and involuted on one side, but who's
successfully nursing, as a result of my support, on one side and baby's
almost 3 months old now, growing and thriving. She's had to educate her OB, her
peds., her friends, etc. that it is possible to lactate on one breast and to
make enough milk for her baby's needs. She's a pretty awesome gal!
