if the baby can latch and transfer at the breast wtih an SNS or lactaid,
that'd be optimal b/cI don't find that fingerfeeding prevents 'nipple
confusion'. imo/e, the benefits of finger feeding over using a bottle
are psychological - ie many parents see bottlefeeding as a normal and
acceptable way to feed a baby, so if using that as a transition to
nursing, it sometimes gets stuck there. whereas using fingerfeeding,
the baby will rarely end up being finger fed for 12 mos, yk?
