Surely if a woman's body can support & maintain a pregnancy after gastric
by-pass surgery, that same body will lactate & be able to nourish the baby
after delivery.
She would no doubt need to eat little & often, & may need ongoing post
surgery supplements for her own health, but I imagine her baby should thrive
just as the baby of an undernourished mother would. (Though in reality she
shouldn't be undernourished if she follows her post operative advice)
