Thats ridiculous!! I hope you have provided them with Marsha Walker's paper
illustrating the deleterious effects of "just one bottle" . The only way to
combat that would be to be vigilant about the importance of skin to skin-starting
with delivery... and beyond, THEN be sure to see every mother w/i the first
24hrs if there's a problem. I know at my hospital that would be impossible BUT
our pedis rely on 10% and even then are flexible as many babies reach that 10%
mark just as the milk is coming in and although reluctant, most can be
reassured by this.
