When I was working as a clinical instructor re: OB and Community Health undergrad nursing students, they learned to think of other symbols when designing OB or Pedi projects. The appearance of a bottle on a project draft always led to a long "discussion" with the clin group members, and I think earlier students must've passed the info re: what was likely to get me on a soapbox to those who came after. I noticed the number of baby bottles on drafts seemed to diminish during my tenure. (Or maybe some became more sensitive? I'd like to think so.)

Some of the alternatives my students used were rattles (in pastels), baby animals, building blocks, etc.

Karen
