I wouldn't stop at "wierd".  I think it is sick and very
frightening.  Reminds me too much of a show you might see on "Outer
Limits" or "Twilight Zone" (for those of you outside the US, these
are science fiction shows that frequently show scary futuristic
society stories).  Soon we'll have a society made up of people
raised like Harlow's "wire mother" monkeys!
