When my daughter was in girl scouts as a daisy in 1st grade, I think, the
troop went to tour a local buffalo herd and when the question was posed about
what the buffaloes were doing in the "springtime" field (ha!), she gave the troop
of girls a lesson on birth and breastfeeding. I learned upon pick-up that my
daughter's leaders were supportive of her, and in fact had breastfed their
own children. Boy! Were we lucky!
