At this holiday time, please remember to set yourself nomail if you will
be away from your computer for a few days..or on a well-needed vacation.
The listowners have received and seen many requests to start or stop
mail or to change addresses. This information is covered in the
"Welcome Note" that all subscribers received when they joined Lactnet.
To get another copy of this note, send a note to the listserv at
[log in to unmask] stating:
Get Lactnet Welcome
I have reprinted the most commonly needed directions from the welcome
note. Most of the time, you can manage your own subscription. There
are over 3000 subscribers to this list. The list owners would like to
reserve our time and energy for solving the more complicated problems
that cannot be easily resolved by individuals. Thank you. Lactnet
volunteer listmothers.
[log in to unmask]
There are two addresses to this and any other listserv.
1. Mail commands like SUBSCRIBE LACTNET Jane Doe IBCLC
go to the COMPUTER address:
[log in to unmask]
It responds to commands.
2. Mail notes to all recipients of LACTNET (the PEOPLE address) to:
[log in to unmask]
Your first note to LACTNET should be an introduction. REMEMBER: Only the
listserv address (and NOT the Lactnet address) responds to commands
and command notes sent to the [log in to unmask] address will
be read by all subscribers of LACTNET, who will then know that you have
not read this welcome message. Avoid embarrassment: use the correct
address!
PLEASE use subject titles when writing to LACTNET.
KEY COMMANDS
