Thank you for posting this mom-in-waiting's fascinating situation.  No
wisdom to offer, just a plea to keep us updated on what transpires, and to
post it under the same subject heading for when we do the inevitable Lactnet
search:-)

I do think this mom will do very well regardless of what she encounters
because she has taken ownership of her condition, understands it and has
partnered with her HCPs to manage it. So that empowered spirit will stand
her in good stead in her breastfeeding and in her mothering beyond.

WRT using the breast shells--I know about the study that 'disproved' them,
but have to say anecdotally that all the moms I've worked with felt the
shells helped them, FWIW.

Feel free to share this encouragement with her, if appropriate.
