<<Sage and sudafed come to mind as potential ways to control/manage this. I'm
sure others will chime in with apporpriate dosage and management tips. >>

If I posted this before, please forgive me. I can't remember if I just told
someone about it or if I actually posted it. Had a mom call several days
after Christmas to tell me her milk supply had just plummeted. Baby is about
three months old, and recently became fussy, at the breast constantly, and just
not happy. Seemed to happen all of a sudden. We talked about the stresses of
Christmas and maybe not bf as long and thoroughly as usual; not letting down
well -- yada yada yada. Set up an appointment to see me at the first
opportunity.

Several hours later she called me and asked me if peppermint could decrease
supply. She had been eating candy canes right and left -- had had three that
day! I suggested she stop eating the candy canes; we'd hold the appointment on
the books (it was for two days from then), but to call me and cancel if
stopping the peppermint was the the "cure." She called me that morning and said
her milk supply was back up to normal and things were just fine!

So here's a mom that was more on the ball than I was (her sister had actually
suggested it to her) as I think sage at Thanksgiving, but wasn't thinking
peppermint at Christmas!!
