I had to respond to this. I, too, am a homeschooling Girl Scout leader. I
nursed my children as a mother attached to a troop, and as a leader, even with
girls, though my son was in a sling.  I found very few people who would comment
on this and the service unit has no right to forbid and/or restrict a mom with
a nursing infant.  They can require a mom to pay the tagalong insurance,
which should silence the question.  I have always been shocked by how many
leaders/SU's/Councils are so anti-nursing and/or anti-baby/family.  We try very hard
to include siblings and family in our troop.
